KPK Intensifies Probe into Reog Monument Project, Raids Officials’ and Contractor’s Homes
PONOROGO, KANALINDONESIA.COM: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is intensively gathering evidence regarding the alleged corruption in the construction project of the Reog Monument and Civilization Museum in Ponorogo. On Friday evening (November 28, 2025), the KPK conducted raids on the homes of former Head of Culture at the Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports Agency (Disbudparpora), Yesi Daniel Tri Baskoro, located in the Kertosari Estate housing complex, and contractor Sugiri Heru Sangoko, whose house is on Jalan Batoro Katong, Cokromenggalan.
Before his retirement, Yesi Daniel Tri Baskoro served as the Commitment Making Officer (PPKom) for the mega-project, while Heru Sangoko is known as a close associate of the non-active Regent Sugiri Heru Sangoko.
Sugiri Heru Sangoko, along with three other individuals, is currently undergoing investigation after being apprehended in a KPK Hand-Catching Operation (OTT) on Friday (November 7, 2025).
Heru Sangoko’s specific role in the MRMP (Reog Monument and Civilization Museum) project is not yet definitively known, which is why his residence in Ponorogo also became a target of the KPK search.
During the search at Yesi Daniel’s residence, the KPK secured a blue suitcase estimated to contain documents related to the Reog monument project.
After searching the home of the contractor, who also serves as the head of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI), for approximately 1.5 hours, the KPK investigative team was seen leaving with two bundles of files, which are also suspected to be related to the Reog monument construction.
In addition to searching these two houses located in the urban area, another KPK team was reportedly also searching the house of Relelianda, a member of the Ponorogo Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) from the PDIP faction.
The search at the DPRD member’s house in Sawoo District was confirmed by Triaji, the local neighborhood head (RT chairman).
It is not yet known what evidence the KPK secured during the raid on the DPRD member’s house.
